Palm Beach girls bowler of the year: Angelica Blimegger, West Boca junior

West Boca junior Angelica Blimegger capped off a memorable season with an individual state championship and is the Sun Sentinel Palm Beach girls bowler of the year. Blimegger is just the second girls bowler from Palm Beach County to capture an FHSAA individual state title. She finished 10th in the girls individual state qualifier with a total of 812 (215-198-201-198). She won five consecutive best-of-three matchups in the girls individual bracket final. She also recorded a personal-high 289 game in high school during the state final. King’s Academy senior Kate Taylor was a leader both on and off the sand for the Lions beach volleyball team this past season.
