Broward 7A-5A football offensive player of the year: Andrew Indorf, St. Thomas Aquinas senior
It is hard to believe that St. Thomas Aquinas senior quarterback Andrew Indorf hasn’t found a college suitor for his services.
DJ Khaled’s song lyric, “All I do is win” definitely applies to Indorf. He rescued the Raiders in the regional finals against host Atlantic as he rallied St. Thomas from a two-touchdown deficit to pull out the 49-42 victory in double-OT and then the following week helped the Raiders to a 16-13 win over Bradenton Manatee.
“I always believe in myself, and I always believe that I am the best,” said Indorf, who ran for one TD and passed for another in a 34-0 Class 5A state title win over Lakeland. “I just continue to work. The offers, I can’t control. What I can control is what I do for my team.”
If Indorf, a two-year team captain, were on a job interview with a college what would he tell them?
“I am a great person, and a great leader,” Indorf said. “I’m a great competitor and I want to win in every single thing I do. With the losses, I understand how to bounce back.”
Indorf was 160 of 244 for 2,273 yards and 28 TDs against 3 interceptions in his junior year, while going 226 of 328 for 2,868 with 31 TDs and nine interceptions in 2024. Indorf was also handy running the ball with 452 yards and 11 TDs during his career. The Raiders have won a state-record six consecutive state championships and have won 30 straight playoff games during that span.
“We faced adversity during the year, and like our coach says, when you face adversity, you get motivated,” said Indorf, who leaves the Raiders with four state championship rings. “They say, pressure makes diamonds, and we had a lot of pressure on us this year. We like to build off that pressure and not bow down to our opposition.”
Indorf surpassed team records for career passing yards, previously held by Zion Turner’s 4,951 (2019-21); and also, broke Turner’s records for career attempts and completions, and he tied Jake Rudock’s (2018-10) career passing TD mark with 66.
