Hurricanes add three-star prospect Cameron Pruitt to 2024 class
The Hurricanes are hosting numerous big-time recruits this weekend, and one decided the time was right to commit to Miami.
Three-star Cameron Pruitt, who has played safety and linebacker, committed to the Hurricanes on Saturday night, announcing his decision on Twitter.
“Thanks to my mama and the people who supported me through my journey,” Pruitt wrote on Twitter, “but I’m committing to the U!”
Pruitt is rated a three-star prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings. He is listed as the No. 48 safety and No. 498 player in the 2024 class.
Pruitt, who is listed at 6-3 and 187 pounds, racked up 99 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, two sacks, three forced fumbles and one interception as a junior for Theodore (Alabama) High.
Miami’s newest commit chose the Hurricanes over offers from Auburn, Kentucky and more.
The Hurricanes have a pair of safeties committed in their 2024 class: three-star prospects Dylan Day and Isaiah Thomas. Miami also has one linebacker, three-star prospect Vincent Shavers, committed.
