Hurricanes’ 2025 schedule released, features home games vs. Notre Dame, Florida, Louisville

The Miami Hurricanes will get many of their toughest tests at home in 2025.

The ACC released Miami and other conference schools’ schedules Monday night, and UM has eight home games: including highly anticipated non-conference games against rivals Notre Dame and Florida.

The Hurricanes open the season against the reigning national runners-up, the Fighting Irish, on Aug. 31 (a Sunday) in the two programs’ first meeting since UM routed Notre Dame at Hard Rock Stadium in 2017. That game’s primetime schedule had already been announced.

Miami follows Notre Dame with a short week before facing Bethune-Cookman at home on Sept. 6 and USF at home on Sept. 13. Then comes a rematch with the rival Gators at Hard Rock Stadium on Sept. 20, concluding non-conference play.

UM has a bye week before ACC play begins on the road against rival Florida State on Oct. 4. The Hurricanes snapped a three-game losing streak against the Seminoles last year.

Oddly, Miami gets its second bye week after facing FSU before a stretch of seven consecutive games without a break.

After returning from the bye, UM hosts Louisville at home on Oct. 17 in a Friday night matchup: the lone weeknight game on the schedule this season. Then Miami will host Stanford in the first meeting between the programs on Oct. 25.

The final month of the regular season begins with the Hurricanes’ first trip to ACC runner-up SMU on Nov. 1. The two programs have only faced each other once: a 7-3 SMU win over UM in Miami in 1965. Following that game, Miami hosts Syracuse, which ended UM’s shot at an ACC title in 2024, on Nov. 8. The Hurricanes close out their home slate on Nov. 15 against N.C. State.

Miami ends the season with back-to-back road games. The first is at rival Virginia Tech on Nov. 22, and the regular-season finale at Pittsburgh on Nov. 29.
