Five hospitalized after shooting at Fort Lauderdale apartment complex, police say
Five people were injured in a shooting at a Fort Lauderdale apartment complex Wednesday evening, police said.
Fort Lauderdale Police Chief Patrick Lynn told reporters at the scene late Wednesday that the shooting happened in the 2900 block of Northwest 19th Street about 8:40 p.m.
A group of people were in the apartment’s courtyard when a second group approached and the shooting began, Lynn said.
Lynn did not provide any information about the five victims or their conditions. No arrests had been made late Wednesday.
