Four-star tight end Elija Lofton, who visited Miami last weekend, picked the Hurricanes on Thursday night, announcing his decision on 247Sports’ YouTube channel. He is the second player to go to Coral Gables last weekend and commit soon after, joining linebacker Cameron Pruitt.
Lofton, who is listed as the No. 17 tight end and No. 342 player in the 2024 class by 247Sports’ composite rankings, chose Miami over offers from Arizona State, Texas and Washington, among others.
